If one of your parents was born in an eligible country, then you can claim your parent’s country of birth.To be more specific, if you were born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but neither of your parents was born there or resided there at the time of your birth, matka result then you can claim eligibility through one of your parents country of birth, provided the natives qualify for the Lottery Program.
You must meet the educational and training requirements
Every applicant must have either a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education
Two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or experience. To find out or determine the work experience the U.S. Department of labor’s O*Net OnLine database will be used.
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements will not be able to submit any entry in the Diversity Visa Program.
